Greening / Hedging
OneClick Greening/Hedging - clicking on the 'Greening' Tab opens a Panel where you can 'Green Up' or hedge any currently Matched Bets on this Selection. Obviously, if you have no Matched bets, you have nothing to Green, and the Greening Panel will just look like this, with the 'Hedge' and 'Equalize' buttons disabled:

Greening - no Matched Bets

but if you do have Matched bets and you were lucky (or skillful) enough to Back at higher than the current Lay odds, it will look like something like this:

Greening 2

and you now have the opportunity to either
  • Equalize your Profit simply by pressing the 'Equalize' button and automatically Laying this runner for £108.11 @ 3.7 for a guaranteed profit of £8.11. (Notice that the Stake dropdown has been disabled while the Greening Panel is open, because the Stake will be calculated automatically for you).
  • or, if for example you're very confident the runner will lose its event, using the Slider to Lay all of your £100 profit to gain £0 if iwins and £11.11 if it loses

    Backing to Use Profit
  • - or you're cofident it will win, but you want to cover your liability, moving the slider to the Liabilty end, so that you will gain £0 if the horse loses, but £30 if it wins.

Backin a Percentage of your Profit
  • or choosing some intermediate amount of your potential profit to risk.

    Greening 3

Whichever you choose, the Stake will be calculated for you, and the Bet submitted, as soon as you click the' Hedge' button.

The principle is similar to that of our manual 'Slider'.

If you're not happy with the current best Lay odds (3.7), then you can set your Maximum Lay odds, either in the Max Lay Odds box:

MaxLay Odds

or the +/- Ticks box:

+/- Ticks

... hitting Equalise, or Hedge will then submit a Bet at your chosen odds with the stake adjusted to Equalise, or Hedge at the proportion you have chosen.
