Event Trackers

Multi-Ladder Interface:

From version 2.2.0 you can now display up to to three One-Click Betting Ladders on Event Trackers:

On opening, Event Trackers look like this:

Event Tracker1

On this Screen you can select:
  • The Refresh Rate (top right of the Panel) - can be adjusted while the Tracker is running.
  • Whether to continue Tracking when the Market goes InPlay.
  • The Runners that you wish to Track.
  • The Maximum Scaling: The Event Tracker Graph shows all of your selected runners at the same scale.
Obviously, if, say, three of your runners are trading at, 2.0, 2.3, and 2.7, and your fourth suddenly jumps to 950, the price movements of the first three will become indistinguishable.
Selecting a Maximum scaling, of, e.g. 5 will solve this problem, as any runner trading at above 5 will be removed from the Graph, and put in a 'Sin Bin' at bottom-left of the Graph unless and until its price drops to your selected Maximum, at which point it wll be restored to the Graph.
The new format event Trackers will open at a default size of 800 x 460.
On a fairly typical Laptop screen (1280 X 800) that looks like this:

Default Desktop

Or on a 1024 X 768 monitor:

1024 Desktop

At 100%:

Event and Single Trackers now show 'Full Market Depth' i.e. the amount of money waiting to be matched at all prices, rather than just the best 3 prices.

Default Event Tracker

The main Configuration Options can be adjusted at any time while the Event Tracker is running, and are controlled via the dropdowns in the Header Panel:

Configuration Options

  • Show / Hide Traditional Betting Interface

Sometimes, particularly if you have more than one Ladder open, you may not require the 'Traditional' interface.

You can temporarily remove it from the Tracker by choosing 'Hide Prices':

You can aso choose to open EventTrackers with the 'Traditional' Interface hidden by Default, by ticking that option in your Default Options Panel.

Hiding the prices also provides space for a larger graph.

    Hide Prices

You can restore the Taditional Interface at any time by choosing 'Show Prices'.
  • Number of Ladders to Show:

You can choose to show from 0 to 3 ladders on the Event Tracker from the 'Ladders' dropdown:

    2 Ladders

    0 Ladders

and you can change the number of Ladders at any time while the Event Tracker is running.

The default width of an event Tracker showing one Ladder is 800 pixels and each additional ladder is 200 pixels wide, so a 2 Ladder option( 800 + 200) will fit quite comfortably on a 1024 wide monitor, but to fit 3 ladders you will have to manually adjust the dimensions of the tracker (by dragging), and even then, the display will be somewhat compromised.

However if you have a 1280 wide monitor screen , a 3 ladder display fits quite comfortably:

    3 Ladders
  • Runner to show on this Ladder

In any of the Ladders, you can display any of the runners that you chose to track when opening the Event Tracker:

    Change Selection

Though, in the interests of Sanity, the Tracker will do its best to prevent you from displaying the same runner in two Ladders simultaneously!

    Duplicate Selection

One change consequent upon the introduction of Betfair Starting Prices is that, if the Market you are Tracking is a BSP Market, the Event Tracker will now show the BSP Price, where previously it displayed the 'Price@Inplay'.

The Tracker shows the 'near' BSP until the Actual BSP has been determined, after which it shows the Actual BSP.

If this is not a BSP Market, then the 'Price@InPlay' is shown as previously.

Greening Panel.
(NB these images are from a Beta version. The Layout of Tabs has been changed in the Production version, but functionality is the same)

Wilst the Greening Panel still has the same functions, Hedging and Equalising, as described in 'Greening', now that you may have more than one Ladder open, it makes no sense to have the Greening Panel default to the same Runner as the Ladder.

So, now the Greening Panel allows you to choose Greening for any of your selected runners (not just ones displayed in ladder(s) ):

Greening with Options

The 'bets' and 'greening' tabs allow you to swap between your Bets Display Panel (the default, displaying all of your current matched and unmatched bets), or the Greening Panel.

You can choose which Runner you wish to display Greening for from the dropdown, and if you have any Matched bets on that runner, the Panel will show your Hedging and Equalising Options, as described at Greening

If you have no matched bets on this runner, the Greening Panel looks like this:

Greening No Options
Notice that in both cases the Stake Box has a green background when the Greening Tab is open.

Unlike previous versions, the Stake box is not disabled when the Greening Panel is open.

This is to allow you to change Stakes and place bets normally on any of your selected runners via the Ladder(s) or Traditional Interface while the Greening Panel is open.

But the Stake Box turns Green to remind you that the Greening Panel will ignore the value in the Stake Box when calculating and submitting Hedge and Equalise bets.

Don't forget that, when Greening, you don't have to simply accept the odds currently on offer.

You can enter any price you like in the Min Back Odds or Max Lay Odds boxes (or set a +/- ticks value) and the Hedging and Greening functions will calculate the appropriate stakes at those odds and submit them when you hit the buttons.

Whether your bet will be matched is not, unfortunately, guaranteed!
