- Last Refreshed Time - this
Displays the time when the Data was last refreshed on Betfair's API
server (not the time that your call for information
was made).
This, and the fact that the display is only to the nearest second (not millisecond) explains why, even with your Refresh Rate set to zero the Last Refreshed Time time doesn't necessarily change every 0.3 of a second.
Quite often, in quiet markets or hours or days before an event, the API servers don't refresh their data all that frequently, so the Last Refreshed Time doesn't change as often as you might expect ... it's still making the calls, but the data isn't changing.
If you want a better idea of how frequently your MTPro is calling Betfair, open an Event Tracker and watch the graph - Show / Hide Market Depth Ladder
- Back / Lay Offers) - Replicates
the Betting Buttons on the Betfair website to show the current 3 best
Back and Lay offers for this Selection, plus the available Stakes.
Although ChromawebMT is NonTransactional, you can simulate making a Back or Lay Bet by clicking on one of these buttons.
Your "Virtual Bet" well be recorded by the software, and shown on the "Virtual Bets" Tab, and will also be represented on the Greening Tab, so that you can track the Stake that would be required to Hedge or Equalise the Profit / Loss on your Virtual Bet.
NB Only your Latest Virtual Bet is recorded, to change it, just make a new Virtual Bet. - Maximum Lay Odds / Minimum Back Odds
- if you wish to make a Virtual Bet at Odds not currently
represented by the Back / Lay Offers Buttons, the simply enter your
required odds in one of these boxes and then click on one of the Back
or Lay Buttons, and a Virtual Bet at those odds will be recorded.
We set the absolute minimum Refresh to 100 milliseconds (0.1 seconds), ... 0 on the dropdown, and you can change it, upwards via this dropdown. With a fairly standard 2Mb connection this will update the graph and price displays about 3 times per second.
- Stake Dropdown - The Stake
Dropdown allows you to quickly select your Stake without using the Keyboard.
- +/- Ticks
- Matched / unMatched Bets -
- Virtual Bets Tab -

If you have placed any "Virtual" bets, the latest one is displayed on this Panel.
The Virtual Betting routine assumes that your Bet is always matched, whatever odds you asked for .... if only!

- Greening Tab -

On the Greening Tab you can choose to Track the Stake required to Equalise your Profits or to Hedge a percentage of your potential profits, either for your Actual Bets at Betfair or for your Virtual Bet.
You can switch between Actual and Virtual modes by clicking on the 'Use Virtual / Use Actual Bets' button.
- Bet Display Refresh Rate
- changing this rate will temporarily override your Default Bet Display
Refresh Rate.
If you have a lot of Bets on the current selection, there can be some screen flicker as the Display refreshes, so you may wish to set this rate higher, e.g. to 5 seconds.
However, if you are waiting to see whether a current unMatched Bet is being matched, then you may wish to set the Refresh Rate to its minimum - 1 second.
- Manual Bet Refresh -
Clicking this button will instantly update the Bet Display Panel and
Profit / Loss Panels, so that, even if you have set a fairly slow Bet
Display Refresh Rate, you can get an instant update of your current
position. - Refresh Rate - better termed
Refresh Delay, since it is actually the time-gap between receiving a
response from the API server and making the next call.
So, if the Refresh Rate is 1 second and it takes one second to send a Request and Receive a response (the Latency) then the market display (Current Prices, Last Price Matched, and the Graph) will refresh every 2 seconds.
We set the absolute minimum Refresh to 100 milliseconds (0.1 seconds), ... 0 on the dropdown, and you can change it, upwards via this dropdown. With a fairly standard 2Mb connection this will update the graph and price displays about 3 times per second.
- Betfair Graphs - Clicking
on the Betfair Graphs button
will open a separate window showing Betfair's Price / Volume over Time
